"Ruby" is a pastel Wildlife Portrait of a Red-Tailed Phasogale. These small carnivorous marsupials are listed as "vulnerable" to extinction due to habitat loss and predation by introduced species, particularly cats. Due to land-clearing for agriculture and development, their habitat has become limited to the wheat-belt of WA. Thankfully, in that region they prey on the mice that plague the wheat-fields. They are noctural and arboreal, and like to rest in tree hollows.

10% of the profit made form the sale of this artwork will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund, to help with their conservation efforts.

Ruby comes framed with a black mat (includes a white "v groove" as shown) and a black-laminated 2cm wide and deep frame, to complement her nocturnal setting.
