Inspired by my father, who is a plumber, gasfitter and electrician (and general "Jack of All Trades"). I found this rather beautiful and colourful pump motor in his workshop and thought it was worthy of a still-life.

This is a pastel wildlife portrait of a red-tailed phascogale. It is a small, grey, mouse-like creature with pink ears, nose, and feet. It's tail is a darker shade of red-pink at its base, and has feathery, black fur along the last 2 thirds of its length. It's depicted hugging a tree branch at night.

"Sylvester" is a pastel wildlife portrait of a Kowari, who is shown full-length eating an insect against the backdrop of a red stony desert.
