"Sylvester" is a Kowari; a native Australian marsupial rat with a striking bushy tail. They live in stony desert areas and eat spiders and insects mainly. It's currently listed as a vulnerable species.

Since starting my Australian wildlife portraits I've discovered so many fascinating species that I never knew existed. It's sad that we tend to know more about exotic animals and their plight than we do about our own in Australia. Our native animals desperately need our help to protect them too. I hope I can make some contribution to changing that by bringing you more artwork of obscure Aussie wildlife to learn about and love.

10% of the profit made from the sale of this artwork will be donated to Team Kowari (https://teamkowari.com.au/) to help them in their efforts to conserve this precious animal.

Sylvester comes ready to hang and framed with a white mat and ight-brown, natural timber frame.
