Oles Yurakov is a professional musician and art director of a small greeting cards company. Painting is also a significant part of his life.
Oles was born in Kyiv (Ukraine) into a family of artists and has always been involved in his family’s artistic projects. After moving to Australia, he continued his musical education at Western Sydney University, taking a minor in Fine Arts.
In 1999 his painting was Highly Commended at the Mosman Art Prize. Together with his Mother Galina Yurakova and sister Svetlana Soldatova, he took part in a successful family exhibition at the Graphic Art Gallery (Bondi Junction, NSW) in 2003.
For several years Oles sold his paintings at Gannon House Gallery (The Rocks NSW).
Currently, Oles is happy to return to his artistic activities and present his works on Bluethumb.
