AUSTRALIANA #1 painting is a part of AUSTRALIANA , a triptych on 3 canvases. This is the left canvas of the triptych portraying two cockatoos sitting on a tree log, two waratahs and blossoms of gum tree flowers.
The Triptych depicts a flock of seven cockatoos sitting on a moss covered tree log by a rich forest edge at sunset over Blue Mountains. They are surrounded with lush undergrowth of Australian flowering red and pink gums, waratahs and Gymea Lilies.
Australiana Series is a big part of my portfolio. I wanted to paint an Australian landscape with birds and flowers playing major roles. This large detailed project has taken me almost three years to finish.
