This minimalist still life painting is from The Cut-Outs - Flowers Series painted in neutral colours of whites and greys and soft pastel pinks and greens. The relaxing shades incite a calming, soothing, peaceful vibe and change the mood of your home.

I was inspired by the collage technique used by Matisse when he was creating his famous painting The Dance 1932-1933. He kept returning to the cut-out paper medium in 1940s and 1950s in such works as The Fall of Icarus (1943), The Blue Nude (1952), The Snail (1953), and La Gerbe (1953).
