Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This original painting of a wattlebird on a Coastal Banksia tree is inspired by Classic Blue, The 2020 Colour of the Year and by blue and white patterned ceramics of Russia, China, Dutch & English Delftware and Hampton style. This artwork is one of the paintings from the Monochrome Series telling stories about an Australian flora, a beauty of its native flowers and plants.
The only other colour on this painting is imitating a hue of unbleached linen.
The painting has a matching pair: New Holland Honeyeater on Kangaroo Paws
in Light Blue, 51x51 cm.
