Artwork Description

Horizons by Olga Megele

This landscape contains beautiful, multiple layers of texture and colour. With rich ochres, sienna, and reds it is reminds us of our dry brown land and the startling blue of summer skies. Broad confident strokes are evident as well as underlying textural areas. In this piece the artist showcases her relationship with the land that she loves.
Influenced by the great tradition of Australian landscape artist.
The sides are painted in a wrap around style which makes framing optional.

Artist Bio

Olga's art is bound up in the day to day, each piece is a reflection on life and the world that we inhabit. It is often poetic in nature, with titles that are at times ironic, humorous or that bestow a deep significance to a captured moment. For Olga art is deeply personal.
Olga's style varies from realism to abstraction. Her paint application is like handwriting, bold and confident. Each piece is a journey. She asks questions of herself and the viewer. The work delves into spaces that you forgot about, it clutches your heart just so that it can simply caress it and then carefully release it back to you. Olga is searching for a connection with her audience.
With degrees in Visual Art and Education, Olga continues to hone her skills with her prolific output. She is an active member of several art societies and exhibits widely.
Olga's work is held in private collections throughout Australia and in the USA.
Olga is pleased to present her Colour in Your LIfe Episode (April 2022)
