Nightfall

Nightfall is the second in the In the Park series of three pieces that shows the transient nature of life. The figure itself, deep in thought and slightly hidden, is reminiscent of being involved in one's own thoughts. In this piece night has fallen and the figure of the woman is still there. Or perhaps she is just an imprint of someone who was once there. Do we still occupy space when we are gone? In this piece there are unanswered questions concerning life and death and our place in the world. The piece is painted loosely with Impressionism and expressionism as influences. The painting is framed in a thin black quality frame and it is ready to hang. Framed size is 92 x 62 cms.

Olga's style varies from realism to abstraction. Her paint application is like handwriting, bold and confident. Each piece is a journey. She asks questions of herself and the viewer. The work delves into spaces that you forgot about, it clutches your heart just so that it can simply caress it and then carefully release it back to you. Olga is searching for a connection with her audience.
With degrees in Visual Art and Education, Olga continues to hone her skills with her prolific output. She is an active member of several art societies and exhibits widely.
