Painting and creating is a way for me to express my excitement for life. Self taught, I paint in a small reclaimed space in my home free from the worries of the everyday world. It is my quiet space - and it’s where I am able to quiet my mind and get lost in creating.
I live by the coast in Sydney and am inspired by the local environment and my gardens. As a person who likes to be in control most of the time I love using an intuitive art style that forces me to start each work with no intention. Or if I am painting a commission I spend time understanding some of the buyers intentions and wants. It helps with the process
I love painting with acrylics that are in the just drying stage. I love them being sticky like oilpastels but still movable enough. I love to use bright colours that will bring a pop to any room.
