Artwork Description

Tide Held in Walls I by ollewats
Acrylic and Mixed Media on Canvas
A restrained grid holds shifting fields of colour, where edges meet but do not fully align. Soft teal and muted tones suggest containment, while subtle surface disruptions prevent the structure from settling. The painting holds a tension between order and seepage, where what is contained quietly presses against its limits.

Artist Bio

ollewats is a singular collaboration forged across distance—two artists walking separate paths yet meeting within the same creative pulse. Despite the miles between us, we build one visual language, responding to each other’s gestures within a single work. These pieces transform rooms into spaces of color, openness, and uplift, inviting viewers to rest inside sensations of tranquility, passion, tenderness, and calm.. Together, we map emotional and natural terrains that stir personal memories and capture the quiet rhythm of life.

ollewats has emerged from a shared fascination with *emotive memory*, our work seeks to narrate the ways emotion settles in the body—how it lingers, resurfaces, and reshapes us. Through a fluid interplay of paint and form we explore the sensory trails left by lived experience. Color becomes feeling; texture becomes the echo of a moment; each surface calls the viewer into an intimate interior landscape.

Our collaborations form an eclectic constellation: assemblages marked by contrasts, vivid chromatic energy, and symbolic fragments that wait patiently for each viewer’s interpretation. These works are less answers than invitations—mysteries that reveal themselves through attention, reflection, and the emotional resonance each person brings with them.

ollewats is, ultimately, an exploration of connection—between artists, between mediums, between memory and feeling, and between artwork and beholder.
