Wild Forest

I painted this one from mainly imagination, when we moved to Australia, Adelaide a few months ago. I missed autumn and the cold weather, and also the colourful trees in Europe. It brings nature to the room where it hangs, and has a unique atmosphere.
I used Langridge oils, and a hint of acrylic paint is the underpainting.

I am a self-thaught painter, that recently moved to Australia from Gibraltar, but I am originally Hungarian. My occupation is a clinical child psychologist and painting is my passion besides nature. I like to think of painting as a break away from the limitations of the everyday life, while painting I can be caught in an other dimension where, if doing it right, time can go by unnoticed. This is a magical experience similarly to spending time in nature and this is what I aim to capture in my paintings on the borders of real and imaginative landscapes.
