Artist Bio
Otto started his artistic career in an art studio at 16, going freelance at 21 and working for most of the large Advertising Agencies in Australia specialising in hyper realistic Illustration and Airbrushing.
Otto always wanted to concentrate on painting and sculpture and for the past several years has managed to do that with mixed success.
Otto has been a finalist in over 60 art competitions including the Doug Moran and has won the major prize in six with several second and thirds for portraits, landscapes and sculpture.
Between commissions Otto has concentrated mainly on competitions to enhance his profile within the art establishment. usually in Queensland but recently in several interstate competitions including the Heysen art prize SA. The Glover landscape prize TAS and the Minnawarra art prize WA.
Otto aims to produce work that not only shows the beauty of Australia’s landscape and individuality of our people but also tries to include a different view or message in the work.
