This painting is based on the Blackwood River in southern Western Australia, I have used subtle complementary yellows/oranges with the blues in the trees in the water to aim to create a quiet and contemplative piece. The focus is the trees above and below the water - reflecting the sky above while revealing the limbs of the tree below.
