Some paintings don't need much in the way of background to look stunning and this is one such painting.
As a lover of Birches and Aspens and the rich colours of Autumn, a black background gives way to their natural beauty and I wanted to showcase this against black. There is some texture to the trunks of the trees highlighting the natural knots in the bark. The sides are painted black. Thank you for looking at my work.
