Born in London, I went to school in the post war years at a primary school in the very bombed out area of the East End of London, I completed my high school education in Essex and then went on to study Art followed by a teaching degree. In 1973 I emigrated to Perth with my husband and two young children. I carried on with my teaching career which I thoroughly enjoyed, however, I found that the work load in teaching did not allow me much time for my own art and therefore when I retired I was happy to find that I now had time to do what I love doing best which is painting. I also love pottery and this was one of my majors but unfotunately Arthritus in my wrists does not allow me to do so much of this now. I love working with acrylics but also enjoy doing pastel work. My work is predominantly abstract although I still love to paint in the traditional manner.
