A passion for art and photography took back seat as Pamela pursued a career in advertising (in Australia and UK), then for 25 years in the entertainment industry.
Her love of both performance and visual arts, along with an ability to visualise and comprehend design and composition, played an essential role in her working life, but it is her love for art that emerged in her personal life.
Much of Pamela’s art comes from the impact of light and the framework of life drawing – those creative responses to human form, volume, and tonal qualities, working across various mediums. Similarly, she prefers en plein air painting, again responding to light on the contours of the landscape. Always a traveller, Pamela carries her art materials with her, sketching and painting in local and overseas destinations. These works comprise the Wish You Were Here and Postcards series.
Pamela has had several solo exhibitions, as well as participating in group exhibitions and undertaking community arts projects funded by Local Governments.
