Artwork Description

The painting is part of a body of work with the theme of "Reflections". The idea behind the painting is to bring attention to our diminishing and unique native wildlife including parrots. This is due to such factors as habitat loss with introduced species taking nesting sites and predation. In the painting the native parrots are trapped below the branch with the introduced Rainbow lorikeets free to roam.
