Artwork Description

This painting is about change, and the difficulties that come with it. The concrete base symbolises the foundations that we build our lives on, and the dark red colour tones represent the pain and suffering that can be associated with change. However, the golden paint strokes represent hope and the possibility of a positive outcome. No matter how difficult change may be, there is always the potential for something good to come from it.

Artist Bio

I am Pascal Gabor Vida, born in 1986 in Germany, the first born of 3 children. I grow up in Hamburg, Germany and moved to Australia in 2017 when I was 30.
My entire life, art is a part of it and through my parents and grandparents, I experienced how life as an artist is embracing the way to see the world and discovering new paths to live in it.
That's the way I would describe my art and what my work means, as the opportunity to define the journey of how to live and how life is changing us and our perception of it.
The way how my life got shaped through so many different people and events is what my process describes the best and how I start my paintings with the ambition to evolve and change the outcome during the painting process until the last brushstroke.
