Artwork Description

Pat's paintings are expressive and alive.

They are richly textured with layers of colour and intuitive mark making.

Opaque shapes meld into one another. Fluid forms suggest underlying patterns in nature.

"In my investigations of abstract expressionist painting, I am searching for the sublime moment. Intergrating layers of paint and colour as I weave through accident, intention and instinct. " Pat Taylor

Painting for me, is a a joy and a refuge, I love the exploration and the discovery. The hunt for hidden gems in abstract places. I am influenced by the sublime natural bush landscapes that surround me in Central Victoria.
