Artwork Description

My linocut captures the memory of my tuxedo cat who loved looking out of my front window. He enjoyed watching the trees sway, the birds fluttering and people and cars passing by.
The linocut process involves drawing, carving, inking with a brayer, and then printing on a press.
This artwork will hang beautifully in a hallway, study, kitchen or bedroom.
The image evokes tranquillity, the beauty and stillness of a cat peering out into the world, and the charm of an animal.

Artist Bio

For most of her working life, Patricia Concha has worked as a psychologist and social educator. She is now retired from her academic career.
When her mum became ill with breast cancer, Patricia began making doodles to make her mum laugh again. After her mum passed, Patrica then cultivated her newly found talent in watercolour and pencil portraits and abstract art, containing an intricate array of geometric shapes, doodles, squiggles, and distinct lines. Also, she has a flair for creating a story within the animals, faces, birds, and flowers she draws.
Patrica's eclectic art captures a collection of abstract, portrait, and pop street art drawings, and linocut, drypoint and photopolymer etchings.
