The Tempest Ed. 2 of 4

This artwork is a drypoint intaglio etching technique , whereby an image is drawn onto a plastic plate, using a sharp pointed tool-diamond tipped. This technique creates sharp lines with fuzzy, velvety edges.
Then the image drawn on the plate is inked, wiped and then printed on a large press.
My artwork captures a powerful but forgiving and sad woman. She is very perplexing and at times appears overwhelmed, but owning a deep power within herself which is an enigma.
My artwork will lift a bedroom, hallway or parlour, giving an air of intrigue and sweet moodiness.

For most of her working life, Patricia Concha has worked as a psychologist and social educator. She is now retired from her academic career.
When her mum became ill with breast cancer, Patricia began making doodles to make her mum laugh again. After her mum passed, Patrica then cultivated her newly found talent in watercolour and pencil portraits and abstract art, containing an intricate array of geometric shapes, doodles, squiggles, and distinct lines. Also, she has a flair for creating a story within the animals, faces, birds, and flowers she draws.
Patrica's eclectic art captures a collection of abstract, portrait, and pop street art drawings, and linocut, drypoint and photopolymer etchings.
