Kenza III

This painting was inspired by a series of photos I took of my friend called Kenza.
When I'm painting people, I usually take my references from the internet or some other friends pictures but I've been wanting to be more involved in my own process, that includes taking my own references for my paintings so I asked my friend if she would be my model for the day and that's how this series of photograph and paintings came to life.

This painting was made with acrylics, oil pastels, watercolour bars and coloured pencils.
Colours might vary from every screen to actual painting.

I did a Bachelor of Illustration about eight years ago as I grew up between colouring books, coloured pencils, markers, watercolours and other material that my parents used to give me all the time when I was a child and I always loved the illustrations on the children's books that I had so I wanted to become a children's book illustrator and I have been working as a freelance ever since.

I was also always intrigued by oils so about five years ago I started to experiment with oils and acrylics and I feel in love. As I'm still learning , I tend to jump between different styles and techniques but I mostly paint portraits of people mixed with a bit of abstract, nature and just thingy that comes from my imagination.
