Little Corner

This painting is inspired by all the plants that I have at home.
I grew up in a house with a huge backyard full of trees, plants and flowers so I have always been drawn to green things and nature.
I started with little cactuses as they were easy to keep, then I went for succulents which I like to transfer when the little leaves falls and then I went for bigger plants like pothos, so my tiny apartment looks like a jungle now.

For this paintings I use my own plants for reference, that's why is called living room.

For "Little Corner" I use gesso to prepare the canvas, acrylics for the base color and pastel oils and chalk to add some details.

I did a Bachelor of Illustration about eight years ago as I grew up between colouring books, coloured pencils, markers, watercolours and other material that my parents used to give me all the time when I was a child and I always loved the illustrations on the children's books that I had so I wanted to become a children's book illustrator and I have been working as a freelance ever since.

I was also always intrigued by oils so about five years ago I started to experiment with oils and acrylics and I feel in love. As I'm still learning , I tend to jump between different styles and techniques but I mostly paint portraits of people mixed with a bit of abstract, nature and just thingy that comes from my imagination.
