Artist Bio

Patricia Walsh is a NSW North Coast based contemporary seascape painter.
She draws inspiration from the extraordinary beauty of the Byron Bay coast and hinterland, to create unique statement pieces.
'Each painting resonates with stories of Byron. It's a breathing space that feels a world away from reality', says Walsh.
Patricia represents waterscapes with a particular focus on tone, texture and colour to create her atmospheric abstract impressionist paintings. A third generation oil painter, Patricia connects traditional technique with contemporary practice.

"Patricia Walsh's atmospheric seascapes capture the windswept energy, shifting light, and quiet freedom of the NSW North Coast.
A frequent finalist in major national art prizes and held in collections across the country, her work carries the kind of earned authority that collectors recognise," Bluethumb Art, 2026

Art|Edit Magazine:

"Patricia has a natural affinity with painting Australian landscapes. She has an extensive body of work that beautifully depicts the vastness and texture of the land. Her new body of works are a celebration of the rich, harmonious tones and colours found in nature. It is exciting to see an artist masterfully explore a subject matter through constant experimentation with colour and texture."
