Artwork Description

This painting is a mixed media of country hills of different colours that is sparsely cover with trees.

The trees accentuate the water courses and the ridges of the hills. But the main effect I was aiming for is the rugged terrain of the Australian landscape.

By using texture to depict this ruggedness it also gives depth and the shadow lines create the character of Australia.

This painting is 122 cm wide 91 cm high and 4 cm deep. It weighs approximately 5 Kgs.

It is wired ready to hang and on the back has a Certificate of Authenticity.

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
