A Gentle Breeze

I love abstract and I also love detail, so in this painting I combined these both aspects.

The flowers are delicate and very detailed. The colour of the flower petals is a combination that works very well. The stems of the plants are thin and that is the effect I was after to show how the flowers could bend even in " A Gentle Breeze "

The background is the abstract part of this painting. The pink on top is the late evening hew on the pale blue sky. The warm yellow is the sunburnt ground and the burnt sienna is the earth.

This painting is 91 cm x 91 cm x 4 cm. It weights approximately 2.2 Kgs. It is finished in a subtle satin varnish that enhances the colour and protects the paint.

On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
