Artwork Description

As I walk into my studio, the rippling reflections of light, off some of my textured high glossed works gave me an idea to create a black and white textured art works.

I love a challenge and wanted a piece that the reflected light would follow you and every step would give you some thing different.

This started out as fun, then ended up as an obsession. After several attempts I thought I had the texture and the spacings of the lines just right. Then the contrasting feature just off set from centre.

Then the colouring and the multiple layers of gloss varnish. I love it when a plan comes together. YES.

When viewing this works one has to pass by it several times, just to watch the reflections continually change. Fabulous in any light conditions.

For a very simple looking art works it sure took a fair bit of time to create. The fun part of my work is that I only create art to satisfy ME.

This piece is 91 cm wide 122 cm high and 4 cm deep. It weighs approximately 3.5 Kgs.
It is wired ready to hang and has a Certificate of Authenticity on the back.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
