Original Artwork's Description

This painting is a combination of my fluid style and abstract flicking of the paint in a very controlled manner, sort of.
I started this painting with a different finish in mind, then my grand kids turned up and it changed. With a little bit of constructive influences from every one standing by, this was the end result.
To be honest it turned out really good. How could it be any thing else with all the verbal help I had. My new rule is - No painting during school holidays!!!!

The uplifting of volcanic activity is the influence behind this piece, The soil below is a fluid style wipe, which looks pretty neat up close. The above ground activity took several attempts on paper before applying it to the painting. This is the part of exploring new techniques that I love.
It is one of my favorite colour combinations for a striking, eye catching piece. Very hard not to stop and look at it while you are passing.
It is varnished in a subtle satin finish to enhance the colour and to protect the paint, and it has painted edges.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. Also it is wire, ready to hang with felt cushion to protect your walls.
