Artwork Description

Well here we go. My good friend, doctor, protagonist and fishing mate is named Guy. That gives me the right ( i think ) to involve him in a little banter. Always. So back to the name. He is very smart but SOMETIMES it takes a bit to keep up with his Thought Pattern. It can be all over the shop, if you get my meaning. Just like this painting.
Unlike the real Guy's thought pattern this painting turned out exactly as I intended it to be. It was always going to be real busy. It is part fluid style and part drag and roll, which if you look closely at it, the colour combinations are terrific. The use of gold and copper highlight the black, white and browns. This painting looks just as good landscape or portrait, so I showed a photo each way. I will put a hanging wire each way if so desired.
With the correct lighting this painting really shines at different angles.
The painting is 122 cm x 92 cm. It is varnished with a gloss finish to accentuate the colours and shine and to protect the paint.. The more you look the more you find with this painting.
On the back is a Signed and Dated Certificate of Authenticity. Also, it is wired and ready to hang with Felt cushions to protect your walls.

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
