There again this is another of my plaster based acrylic painted on canvas.
This was made in 2006 and the influence came after a trip to the outback of Australia and visiting some aboriginal communities. Now I must say that I am not of aboriginal decent, but I was definitely influenced by their style of art work, but I added my own plaster texture, which sets this piece apart from more traditional paintings of the aborigines'.
Being an avid fisherman the tide is a major part of my fishing life. This painting is a symbol of the movement of the tides.
The texture is deep and ribbed. This alone gives the piece a character all of it's own.
This piece is made of three 45cm wide by 35 cm high canvases. The photo of the back of the canvases shows two white timber strips that hold them for display purposes only and will not be supplied with the paintings in shipment.
These paintings do not need a frame as the edges are fully painted
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. They are wired ready to hang and have felt cushions to protect your walls.
