Artwork Description

The influence behind this painting is colour and fun.
I sooo enjoy doing something different, most of the time.
With this piece I was seeking a soft colour palette with some contrasting elements and a semi geometric format with freehand touches. As with some of my paintings there is a small amount of background texture. This always adds some character and depth to the overall composition.

The most important element to this painting was that my granddaughter absolutely loved it, no more to be said.

This painting is 122 cm by 91 cm by 4 cm deep. As can be seen by the images it can be hung vertical or horizontal, and it will have two sets of wires on the back so it can be hung both ways. It is finished in a Satin varnish which enhances the colour and protects the paint.

On the back is a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
