Light My Fire

Light my fire is one of my fluid works. The painting is over a half red base and a half black diagonal base. This gives me the opportunity to have some of that wet base come through in the top pours. There are four individual pours with a lot of manipulation to get the desired results. The blending of the red, black, orange and white make some fascinating mixtures. It is a large painting of 122cm x122cm and it looked fantastic on my lounge room wall. A real talking piece.

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
