Artwork Description

The first house I ever bought had a Little Brick Chimney just like this one. It is funny how things stick in your mind and 51 years later I am creating a painting about that same chimney.
I can vividly remember it because I had to get up on the roof and repair it, to stop it leaking water into our lounge room.

This is contemporary piece of sorts, very symbolic.

The base colour is " Monument " a greyish brown. A very popular colour here at present.

The painting is 122 cm wide and 91 cm high and 4 cm deep. It weighs 2.5Kg. It is a quality frame and has painted edges so there is no need for an external frame.
It is finished in a satin varnish which enhances the colour and protects the paint.

On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
