Artwork Description

A dear friend of mine Patricia Newell-Dunkley was the influence behind this painting I called Patti. D.
Patti is a fan of my work and loves paintings with GOLD in them.
I love the effect of the pig haired brush, which gives it a dry brush end to the strokes. The white on black gives the piece great contrast and the gold gives it an extra depth.
This piece is 122 cm wide and 91 cm high, a great size for a medium to large room. The painting is definitely eye catching.
The painting is varnished in gloss which brings out the colours even more. The back is wired ready to hang with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity, also with felt cushions to protect your walls

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
