Artwork Description

Well you see I have grandkids. These children are the light of my life, and when I am painting and they turn up, any serious thoughts of art in my head have to wait.

I am called Poppy Pat to my grandkids and to all their friends. So what I am saying is that when they ALL turn up. I start to PLAY with a new canvas as they all watch, sometimes.

So this painting is a collaboration of ideas and colours from the kids. I do the work they pick the colours.

It is a very colourful piece with a lot of movement and fun. Mostly FUN.

I hope you enjoy my Artwork Descriptions as they just come from my heart. I have seen that other artists waffle on about their art, I just tell it as it is. Full Stop. With a bit of humor.

This painting is 60.5 cm wide and 91.5 cm high and 4 cm deep. It is finished with a gloss varnish which enhances the colour and protects the paint.

On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushion to protect your walls.

Artist Bio

Patrick has lived on the Central Coast of New South Wales for over 60 years. His work reflects parts of his life with a bold and vibrant colour palette.

His introductory works were mainly contemporary in nature, consisting of lively acrylics on a wildly textured bases. The assortment of bases gives Patrick’s work depth, while the bulk and shadow lines bolster the pieces character.

As Patrick’s work is evolutionary his latest style remains contemporary , however he also uses various acrylics in fluid states to produce a mixture of abstract colours and shapes.

Most of Patrick’s inspiration comes from the everyday world around him and his family. He enjoys the challenge of mastering different techniques, which will continue to enhance his future works. His art works are all original.

Every one of Patrick's paintings has a special story attached to it, and they are all very personal to him. Patrick's art has been sold to collectors internationally and nationally.
