The influence for the name of this painting is a long story, but I will try and keep it short.
Many years ago my two sons were friendly with two sisters at school. So school holidays were spent with the girls family up the coast camping, For years this went on, even after all schooling had finished.
25 years later we are all still friends.
Now! One off the girls asked my son to look after her 13 year old daughter for the weekend as she had to work.
My son his two children and the girl Tahlii turned up to my home just as I had finished painting this painting and Tahlii seriously looked at it, and then gave her approval. Hence the name.
The painting is on a grey stippled background. The black and white is splashed across the canvas in a very regulated swipe. The redish wipes are there to give some balance and contrast to the piece.
What ever the wall colour where it is to be hung, this grey background blends in without being too outrageous. But the black, white and red are the main focal point. The composition of the painting is very balanced.
The painting is 91 cm high and 122 cm wide and 4 cm deep. It is finished in a subtle satin varnish whish enhances the colour and protects the paint.
On the back is a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity, It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.
