Artwork Description

“ TORO’S VICTORY “

Back in 1975, ( yes , that was a long time ago ) I was in Barcelona, Spain watching a Bull Fight. There were many tournaments that day and one fight was a big surprise.

When I said to the old gentleman sitting next to me “what just happened” he replied in a slow local accent
“ the matador he not always win “.

So after watch a bull fight on T V the other night, I thought back to this time and remembered the words of this old gentleman.

Now I am not usually macabre, but in my USUAL way I made a painting of my memories.
The red is the Matador being tossed by the Toro ( the bull ). That is as politely descriptive as I can be.

This painting is 91 cm wide 122 cm high and 4 cm deep, it weighs 2.5 Kgs. It is finished in a satin varnish that enhances the colour and protects the paint.

On the back is a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It is wired ready to hang and has felt cushions to protect your walls.
