Dusk Rainclouds

The streetlights had just turned on as the light dimmed and rainclouds rolled in at dusk. Simply the view from my front door, but even still sometimes these plain everyday views can grip you if you have the eye to see them.

There is a small amount of uneven sheen as can be seen at the edge, which will be remedied upon varnishing. As yet unvarnished.

“I love observing light, its various effects, and the way our perception affects how we think of what we see. When I paint, I seek to explore this through landscape paintings featuring dramatic skies, and strong light and shadow, and often use these to highlight the everyday things we see as we go about our lives.”

Paul grew up in South-West Sydney in a family who values creative activities like music and art; and subsequently did a lot of both throughout his formative years. He now works full time as a 3D Artist for a video game studio in Sydney.
Although he seeks to paint as often as he is able.
