I specialise in oil and acrylic painting and portraiture. My practice is influenced by the old masters and pop art, particularly poster and advertising art from the 1960s and 70s. My vibrant images capture people and the everyday with intensity and personality. I work within two genres, realism and contemporary. I am drawn to expressive colour, bold composition, and capturing the unique essence of my subjects, often incorporating symbolism. I have been a finalist in the Archibald Prize and the Brisbane Portrait Prize twice. My work continues to evolve as I explore new narratives, engage with contemporary culture, and push the boundaries of portraiture and contemporary painting.
