Paul is an abstract landscape painter from Sydney with many years experience.
He has always been interested in art in all its forms, but especially painting.
He enjoys eye catching unusual shapes and mesmerising colours.
Paul has had exhibitions of his paintings in Paddington art galleries.
Over the years he has been fortunate to have met some of his favourite artists,
Lloyd Rees, Brett Whiteley, James Gleeson, Dorothy Napangardi, Rosella Namok, Idris Murphy, David Rankin, Ken Unsworth ,Reg Mombasa, Peter OโDoherty among others.
He has been lucky enough to visit most of the major overseas galleries in London, Paris, New York and Berlin.
Paul spent many years living and working in the New Guinea highlands.
While there he did many long walks on the tropical coasts and in the much cooler highlands areas over high cold mountain ranges and down into fertile valleys with bright tropical plants and rivers and trees. He feels sure a lot of his colour inspiration comes from these adventures. He is now doing walks and finding inspiration in the Tasmania wilderness areas and he enjoys the ever changing moods and heavy moisture laden atmosphere in the landscape there.
He feels itโs always a good reminder of how fast time passes and with it constant and endless change.
Pauls paintings are bright, colourful, optimistic and a reminder of the amazing and varied colours of nature.
His paintings are a response to his experience of the landscape, the changing colours of the light and shapes.
All the paintings are ready to hang.
Protective coatings of varnish has been applied to all paintings for added durability and it also enhances the colours.
All paintings are painted on the side to eliminate the need for framing.
However they can be framed if required.
Pauls paintings are in private and corporate collections in Australia and overseas.
