I have always been interested in art in all its forms, but especially painting.
I enjoy eye catching unusual shapes and mesmerising colours.
I have had a couple of exhibitions of my paintings, both in Paddington galleries.
Over the years ive been fortunate to have met some of my favourite artists, Lloyd Rees, Brett Whiteley, James Gleeson, Dorothy Napangardi, Rosella Namok, Idris Murphy, David Rankin, Ken Unsworth ,Reg Mombasa, Peter O’Doherty among others.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit most of the major overseas galleries in London, Paris, New York and Berlin.
I spent many years living and working in the New Guinea highlands.
While there i did many long walks on the tropical coasts and in the much cooler highlands areas over high cold mountain ranges and down into fertile valleys with bright tropical plants and rivers and trees.I feel sure a lot of my colour inspiration comes from these adventures.Im now doing walks in the Tasmania wilderness areas and i enjoy the ever changing moods and heavy moisture laden atmosphere in the landscape there.
I feel it’s always a good reminder of how fast time passes and with it constant and endless change.
You will find my paintings , bright, colourful, optimistic and a reminder of the amazing and varied colours of nature.
All my paintings are ready to hang.
I have applied protective coatings of varnish to all my paintings for added durability and it also enhances the colours.
All paintings are painted on the side to eliminate the need for framing. However they can be framed if required.
My paintings are in many private and some corporate collections in Australia and overseas.
