The subject of this work is actually only one bird that I watched for some time and tried to capture the different movements into a single frame. This is something i've been experimenting with recently, using multiple versions of the same bird to show the changing patterns of the wings at various stages of flight. Choosing the background was important as this could distract from the structure and movement of the powerful of wings. I felt a buzz doing the water following the birds out of the river.
