Sunrise Path

Path to the Sea captures that familiar moment of walking down a quiet beach track as the last light stretches across the ocean.

The weathered timber rails draw the viewer through the coastal vegetation and onto the open beach, where soft blues and greens of the water meet a warm orange horizon. A small rocky silhouette in the distance adds depth to the peaceful coastal scene.

Painted in oil on stretched canvas, the work was inspired by the colours, openness and relaxed atmosphere of the Australian coastline. The combination of warm sunset tones and calming coastal blues makes this an inviting piece for a living room, bedroom or relaxed coastal interior.

A self-taught artist with a lifelong love of creativity, I have been drawing and painting since childhood. Art continues to be a way for me to slow down, connect with the world around me, and capture the places and moments that inspire me.

My work is strongly influenced by my love of the outdoors, particularly the ocean and the Australian landscape. I am drawn to coastal scenes, open landscapes, dramatic skies and sunsets, and the changing colours and moods created by light and nature.

Painting is something I have always returned to throughout my life. As a self-taught artist, my style has developed naturally through years of experimenting, observing and simply enjoying the process of creating.

Through my paintings, I hope to capture a sense of atmosphere and connection to the outdoors — whether it is the calm of the ocean, the warmth of a sunset, or the beauty found in a familiar landscape.
