Artwork Description

The inspiration for my painting was drawn from the spectacular rocky outcrop exposed at low tide along with a lonely fishing boat, only to be overshadowed by the dominance of the Bluff
The vivid acrylic colours and texture I used in this painting help capture the scene on a peaceful summer's day Encounter Bay Victor Harbor SA

Artist Bio

Paul 'Paolo' Shepherd is an artist from Walkerville, South Australia, with an eye for landscapes and seascapes working with oils and acrylics on canvas.

When not painting in his studio, or supporting grass roots sporting clubs and community groups, Paolo's creative output is influenced by his time spent living on the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Victor Harbor coastline.

With a unique eye for perspective and the utilisation of subtle colour palates, Paolo's artistic influences and outputs are drawn from his early career in creative illustration and sign-writing, through to his extensive travel working throughout the UK in the 1970s and then home to Australia where he founded a successful silk screen printing, creative design and digital business.

Paulo has been a regular painter at Beach Studio Art located at Grange Beach, and now paints at The Duthy Street Art Studio. His work has sold at the Walkerville, Blackwood & Victor Harbor Art Shows as well as on Bluethumb
