Artwork Description

This work, Oceanic Metropolis took over 2 years to create. With over 2000 hours during that time to complete, it was a labor of love to finish.

This work will be a feature piece in any space where it's hung. From afar, shapes and texture with hints of concepts, and upon closer inspection, all the details come into focus.

Artist Bio

Paul Summerfield is a digital artist, blending traditional painting and drawing techniques with digital mediums. His work has appeared all around Canberra, from coffee cups, books, and bus wraps, to hospitals, Schools, and illuminations for the Enlighten Festival. Further afield, works can be found across Australia and in several other countries including France, Germany, England, Netherlands, South Korea & Japan.

I work primarily with digital media and print archival quality limited edition prints with editions of 10 or less. I work from my studio at Gorman Arts Centre, Cafes and libraries around Canberra and in other places like Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Photos used in my shop and from my recent exhibition, Mycelium Sky are by Andrew Sikorski
