Artwork Description

Climate Change is a visceral, chaotic representation of a planet in distress, where nature’s extremes collide in violent discord. The painting’s blend of fiery oranges, charred blacks, and smudged purples conjures images of scorched earth and rising smoke, reminiscent of relentless wildfires devouring landscapes. In contrast, streaks of white and gray slash through the canvas like storm clouds or raging floods, while scattered patches of yellow glow like embers of hope or warning signals lost in the wreckage. The texture is rough and uneven, with aggressive brushstrokes that evoke destruction and decay — as if the world itself is breaking apart under the weight of environmental collapse.

Emotionally, the painting stirs feelings of anxiety, sadness, and urgency. The viewer may feel overwhelmed by the painting’s turbulence, mirroring the helplessness of witnessing nature lash out after years of neglect and exploitation. The scattered bursts of color, while striking, seem fleeting against the darker, encroaching hues, emphasizing the fragility of life amidst relentless catastrophe. The abstract style strips away the details, leaving only the raw emotional core of environmental chaos — a visual plea for reflection and change before the beauty of our world is lost to the very flames and floods depicted on the canvas.

Bursting with energy and color, this abstract series explores the use of bold hues and spontaneous brushstrokes to convey the artist’s imagination and personal interpretations of everyday experiences. As the artist explains, some thoughts and ideas are too spontaneous and expressive to be captured through a strictly realistic or technical approach.

Image size: 22 x 22cm (approx. 8.5" Ă— 8.5")
Total canvas size: approx. 34.29 x 34.29cm (13.5" x 13.5")

IMPORTANT
The painting is created on unstretched linen and is sold unframed, rolled in a tube for safe transport. It is finished with Gamblin Gamvar Satin varnish, which enhances the colors while providing a subtle, low-gloss finish and an added layer of protection.

The linen is triple-primed with high-quality gesso, followed by a layer of GAC100, offering extra protection against Support Induced Discoloration (SID).

Color variations. The artist strive to capture the colors and details of his paintings as accurately as possible in the photos. However, slight variations in color may occur due to differences in screen displays and lighting conditions.

A 2.5-inch white border is included on all sides of the painting to allow for proper stretching of the artwork.

The artist strongly suggests framing the artwork, as it enhances its quality, impact, and overall viewing experience when displayed on a wall. A beautiful painting stands out on its own, but pairing it with a well-chosen frame elevates it to an entirely new level.

Acrylic on fine linen.

Artist Bio

KQUDAH is an Australian multi-disciplinary artist whose work spans contemporary realism, abstract expressionism, monochrome visuals, graffiti-inspired pieces, and digital pop art. He has always identified simply as an artist, believing that creatives should not be confined to a single style or category.

“When I create, I do so with intent and a clear vision of the final piece. I allow myself to express what’s within—whether through realism, abstraction, or even a simple scribble of pen lines. What matters most is that my art speaks honestly to me.”

KQUDAH works with a variety of mediums, primarily oil, acrylic, and spray paint for his traditional artworks. He also explores digital art, using Procreate, Blender, and Nomad Sculpt to refine compositions before painting. Drawing from diverse influences—ranging from Japanese art to Impressionism—he fluidly shifts between styles while maintaining a minimalist approach to tools and color palettes. His creative process begins with an impression, which he enhances with diagonals and curves to evoke movement, carefully balancing value and tone to achieve harmony.

His artistic journey started at the age of seven with sketching and freehand drawing, transitioning seamlessly from pencil to pastel. However, in 2002, the moment he placed his first brushstroke in oil paint, he was captivated—setting him on a lifelong pursuit of mastering the medium. As a teenager, he immersed himself in fine art and design books, further shaping his aesthetic sensibilities. Ever since, he has remained dedicated to capturing moments in art, creating works that resonate with collectors and art enthusiasts alike.

KQUDAH is represented by Stella's Gallery in Penrith.
