At my mother’s home I enjoyed the blooming cosmos in dark pink flowering when I least expected it.
This artwork would make a lovely addition to your space at home.

Artist Bio

Paula Ana De Oliveira is a multidisciplinary artist based in Wollongong. Born in Wollongong to Portuguese parents, she discovered her passion for creativity at an early age through drawing, clay modeling, and painting sparking a lifelong journey in the arts.
With over two decades of experience, Paula Ana works across oil and acrylic painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media. Oil-based mediums are her passion, and she brings a unique touch to every piece she creates. Her portfolio spans everything from nature-inspired landscapes to whimsical portraits and imaginative scenes, often incorporating unique elements such as oil-based crayons and painted rock sculptures.
A graduate of Illawarra Senior College, Paula earned awards in 1996 for achievements in screen printing, jewelry design, and painting. Her exploration of photography began with Kiama/Shellharbour photography club, where her SLR and DSLR work received recognition, and later expanded at Tafe, mastering both darkroom and digital techniques. In 2024, they completed a certified course in Design Fundamentals, developing a portfolio that encompassed poster design, fashion and interior concepts, furniture design, photography, and oil painting. Her creative path also includes a rewarding chapter working in floral arrangements in 2012.
Deeply influenced by Mian Lang, Tanya Mason, and Zaid Haker, Paula Ana De Oliveira draws inspiration from local artists, architecture, beaches, and native flora. These elements frequently appear in her work, such as the notable Illawarra flame tree painting featured in children's storybook illustrations.
Today, Paula continues to draw inspiration from artists worldwide, fascinated by their histories and processes. Collectors are drawn not only to the diversity of their practice but also to the emotion and imagination woven into each piece. Above all, Paula Ana creates with joy, curiosity, and a commitment to exploring new forms making her work a compelling addition for art lovers and collectors alike.
