My painting is called “Lavelle”. Her name means a cleansed and purified soul, which I tried to reflect through the eyes as they are the mirror to one’s soul. Lavelle is wearing a turban. Removing her hair helped me concentrate on her eyes to reflect the emotions and mood in the painting.
