By juxtaposing these materials, the series highlights the tension between our authentic, multifaceted nature and the diluted images we cultivate and internalise in digital spaces.

My name is Pedro Guarracino, I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I create sculptural works that fuse ceramics and crochet, bringing together seemingly contrasting materials to explore the ways in which different artistic traditions can coexist, interact, and transform one another. Rooted in personal and cultural narratives, my work draws from my family’s migration journey from Italy to Argentina and my own move to Australia, weaving together inherited craft techniques with contemporary sculptural practices.
